Roots Caregiver and Me Class
Gather up your little “ nature babes” and “tree-schoolers” and come join us each Friday of the school year from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at our beautiful Buck Lake Rd campus for a morning filled with fun, laughter, wonder and joy .
Each week the children will be immersed in a calm, nature-rich environment and gentle rhythm that supports play, exploration and learning, while their caregivers are provided with a wonderful opportunity to connect with friends and valuable insight into loving, gentle and effective ways to parent in today’s busy world.
Our weekly class rhythm will include a short nature walk in the woods, a story or puppet show, songs and finger-plays , a nature-inspired or Waldorf creative activity such as watercolor painting, wet-felting or baking bread and lots of free-play experiences with natural materials and toys.

Joanne
I have been an early childhood educator for over thirty years ! Teaching young children is truly my passion and I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to get up every morning and go to work doing something I love. I am originally from the UK and came to the US as a private nanny . I have been a preschool teacher, director and run Family Forest School classes. I am trained in Waldorf, Lifeways, Reggio, and Forest School Principles. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband Lionel ,my five adult daughters and my ten amazing grandchildren! I love to travel, hike , cook , go to the beach needle felt, paint and recently took up crochet.
This class is designed for ages 0 to 4 years
Classes take place near the schoolhouse at Into The Woods Playschool.
Fridays 10:00-12:00 during the school year, September-May
